Contraception and Sexual Health

Saltley and Fernbank Medical Practice currently offers free condoms to registered patients. We also provide oral contraception, including emergency contraception, after consultation with a doctor.

Further information on sexual health services that may be available to you outside of your GP clinic can be found on the Umbrella Health website, or on the FPA UK website.

Sexual Health Resources

If you are aged 16 and over and live in either Birmingham or Solihull, and are worried that you may have a sexually transmitted infection (STI), you can order a test kit free of charge. Please note that the results of these tests are not transmitted to your GP, so it can either remain confidential, or you can inform your GP if you would like them to be aware.
